The project will improve safety and traffic flow through the lake area. The new expressway will begin near Business Route 54 in Miller County and end west of Route KK in Camden County. Work to build the new four-lane divided highway includes grading, drainage, bridges, retaining walls, paving and utilities.
Six interchanges will provide access between existing Route 54 and the new expressway. The interchanges will be at Business Route 54, Route 42, Passover Road, Jefferies Road, Broadwater Lane and Nichols/Route KK.
